Jutta Gurkmann is Executive Director of the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (vzbv) since 1 March 2022. In accordance with vzbv’s statutes, she represents the organisation in and out of court and manages it. Jutta Gurkmann advocates for strong consumer rights vis-à-vis ministers, members of parliament, associations and other political actors. She represents vzbv in public, for example at events or in meetings with policy-makers.
The Board of Directors of vzbv is currently initiating the appointment of a new Executive Director. Until then, Jutta Gurkmann will temporarily take over the duties. She is the successor of Klaus Müller (2014 to 2022), Gerd Billen (2007 to 2013) and Prof. Dr. Edda Müller (2001 to 2007).
